FAQ

The first session is 50 minutes. It’s where we get to know each other, talk about what brought you here, and what you hope to get from therapy. We’ll also go over some basics like the counselling agreement. You’re in control — no pressure to share anything you’re not ready for.
You can also book a free 30-minute chat beforehand if you want to meet and see if we’re a good fit.

That depends on you. Some people come for just a few sessions, others longer. Weekly sessions can help you build momentum faster, but monthly might suit you better if you prefer a slower pace. We’ll figure out what works for you as we go.

Counselling is your space, so usually, it’s just you. But if you need an interpreter or have specific access needs, we can talk about it.

Totally normal! It can feel strange meeting someone new and talking about personal stuff. I’ll do my best to help you feel safe and comfortable — no rush at all.

Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you can. If it’s less than that, the full fee applies. Payment is due 24 hours before your session by bank transfer.

Sessions last 50 minutes. If you’re late, we’ll still finish at the scheduled time. If you’re over 15 minutes late, the session will be cancelled, and the fee still applies. This keeps things fair for everyone.

People react differently. You might feel lighter or energized, or sometimes tired or emotional if we’ve touched on tough stuff. It’s a good idea to take some time to rest or do something calming after.

Not at all. This is a safe space to be yourself — no judgement here.

I’m not here to tell you what to do, but I might suggest things to explore, like journaling or meditation. It’s always up to you whether you try them.

No homework here. If you want to try something between sessions, great — but it’s always your choice.

I offer sessions:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 10am–2pm

  • Monday & Thursday evenings: 7pm–9pm

  • Friday & Saturday mornings: 10am–1pm
I don’t respond to messages outside these times to keep good boundaries and encourage you to do the same.

Yes, everything you share is confidential. The only exceptions are if there’s a serious risk of harm, something related to a serious crime, or if the law requires me to share. I’ll explain all this clearly in our first session.
