My Approach

Kitty counselling

Approach

While person-centred therapy is at the heart of my work, I draw on a range of approaches to support your unique needs — like a therapeutic kit bag we can dip into together, depending on what feels right for you.

These may include:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): to explore unhelpful thoughts and behaviours

  • Transactional Analysis: to understand patterns in how you relate to yourself and others

  • Mindfulness and Meditation: to calm a busy mind and reconnect with the present moment

  • Trauma-Informed Practice: taking things gently and safely, without rushing or re-triggering

  • Psychodynamic Therapy: to explore how past experiences may influence your present

  • Existential Therapy: for reflecting on identity, meaning, choice, and the bigger questions of life

I also welcome creativity into the process. Sometimes, what we struggle to say can find expression through art, writing, music, or crafts. No experience is needed — just a willingness to explore.

Whatever shape our work takes, it’s guided by your story, your pace, and what matters most to you. Always collaborative. Always with care.
