Meet Moo – Your Four-Legged Therapy Companion
Sometimes, healing comes with a wet nose and a wagging tail.

About Moo

Muriel — affectionately known as Moo — is my beloved golden retriever–labrador mix and emotional support dog. She holds a very special place in my heart, as she was the very first puppy born to Connie (her mum) in her very first litter.

At just six weeks old, Moo began her training with Guide Dogs UK. After returning to us at 12 months, she went on to become a breeding dog for the organisation, raising many litters of puppies — many of whom have gone on to become life-changing guide dogs. Now retired, Moo continues to offer her gifts in a different way: through connection, calm, and comfort in the therapy room.

Her Personality

Calm, gentle, and full of love, Moo is happiest when she’s with people — whether it’s adults, teens, or children. She has a quietly affectionate nature and a deeply intuitive presence, often picking up on people’s moods without needing a word spoken.

She’s also a bit of a princess — with a stubborn streak and a fondness for attention — but that just adds to her charm.

Fun Fact

Moo earned her nickname because she loves to munch on grass and plod around the garden like a little cow. Her gentle, quirky charm never fails to make people smile.

In the Therapy Room

Moo is available to join face-to-face sessions for clients who would like her to be present. She settles quietly in the room — offering a soft head to stroke, a steady gaze, or simply a calming presence.

Many clients find that her gentle nature helps ease anxiety and brings a sense of warmth and safety, making it easier to relax and open up.

Moo isn’t just part of the furniture — she’s part of the therapeutic environment. As an emotional support dog, she plays a meaningful role in helping clients feel safe, settled, and supported. Whether it’s through her presence, a soulful look, or a quiet moment of companionship, Moo offers a special kind of comfort that words sometimes can’t reach.
