The Journey of Therapy
Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. Some people come for a short time — six to twelve sessions — while others choose to work longer term. You might attend weekly, fortnightly, monthly, or just dip in for occasional sessions. We’ll shape the process around your needs, goals, and budget.
In the early sessions, we take time to explore the things that have brought you here. Many people describe this as “laying out the puzzle pieces” — it might feel jumbled or overwhelming at first, but together we begin to notice patterns, themes, and connections.
We’re also building something vital: a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel safe, seen, and understood.
It’s not unusual to reach a point where you feel better, but unsure what to bring. Often, this is where the deeper work begins. We might explore how past experiences shape you, how you relate to yourself and others, or where certain beliefs or emotional patterns have come from.
This part of therapy can feel more intense, but you won’t be doing it alone. I’ll be alongside you with care, steadiness, and support.
Over time, therapy can bring greater clarity, self-understanding, and emotional freedom. It’s a space to reconnect with yourself, your body, your boundaries, and your inner voice—so that you can live with more confidence, compassion, and choice.
